  • No. With lithium ion batteries, it is not necessary to drive your battery completely empty before charging it. You may recharge these batteries all the time (for example, every night at home or every day at work).

    This way, you never have to worry about a dead battery and are always ready for unexpected situations.

  • For all Tesla's with free "supercharging," it is free at Tesla's "superchargers." For those who cannot charge for free at Tesla, the price varies between 0.55€/kWh and 0.74€/kWh.

    So in the most expensive case, this would mean that an 85kWh HV battery that is completely empty will cost a €63 to recharge. In practice you are going to pay max around €50 because you can never use the full 85kWh of your battery.

  • - When the car gives errors related to the HV battery.

    - When you suddenly experience a huge decrease (50%) in range.

    In addition, it is also wise to systematically have your battery serviced! Here we will clean the moisture drain. We will also read out errors and measure the condition of your battery.

  • These batteries can last a very long time. If you maintain your battery properly, it will last 100 000ths of miles. Of course, there are exceptions that can cause an early failure. For example, there is a huge amount of electronics in the battery and they too can fail exceptionally. In addition, you also have moisture which can cause problems.

  • When it is no longer economically interesting to have the battery repaired by Electrify Europe. If this is the case, we always give sincere advice.

  • For the cheapest packs this price at Tesla is around €12,000 for other packs it can go up to more than €25,000.

Additional information.

  • If the transport of your car is done by Electrify Europe, your transport is always fully insured. Your car is in safe hands with us.

  • The garage of Electrify Europe is insured for all cars entrusted to it.

  • If you will not be using your Tesla for an extended period of time (for example, over a weekend), we recommend charging the battery to 80% to optimize the balance of the battery.

  • - All sensitive points for water damage are checked and repaired where necessary;

    - All electronics components are checked, repaired where necessary and provided with additional water protection;

    - Cleaning the battery's moisture drain

  • The repair time is highly variable and depends entirely on the nature of the defect (or defects) present in your battery. It can therefore vary from a few days to several weeks. An estimate of the repair time can possibly already be given after an initial OTA diagnosis, but will certainly be discussed with you after the physical diagnosis of the HV battery.

  • Certain processes always remain active in the car, so a certain, albeit limited, amount of energy is still consumed even during downtime.

    Examples of such processes include the "sentry mode" of the car, as well as the balancing of the battery cells.

    A battery with an increasing imbalance in its cells (because of defects present) will thus lose more range over time at idle.
